How can I help?

Through consultation, presentations, coaching and workshops I support communities in creating and uplifting equitable, affirming and inclusive practices.

All services can be tailored to the needs of specific communities including schools, out-of-school time programs, community based organizations, summer camps and parent groups.

Capacity Building

Through workshops and coaching I can support the adults in your community with developing practical skills for:

  • Building inclusive programs/classrooms

  • Trauma & resilience informed practices

  • De-escalation and conflict resolution

  • Community wide social emotional skill-building

  • Building trusting relationships

All offerings involve a unique combination of reflective practice, experiential activities, knowledge and skill building. My style is interactive, infused with opportunities for storytelling and grounded in building authentic partnerships. Workshops and coaching conclude with clear takeaways, next-day implementable strategies and action planning.

Leadership Coaching

I support school and program leadership teams and individuals with:

  • Building staff capacity for implementing practices

  • Transforming punitive disciplinary practices and policies

  • Developing effective student support and school culture teams

We dig into the above topics through a school leaders lens with a particular focus on systems, policies and organizational culture building.

Equity and Anti-Racism Workshops & Coaching

I also offer workshops and coaching for teams and communities committed to understanding, confronting and dismantling racism and other systems of oppression that harm and erode community.  All equity and anti-racism work is co-facilitated and created in collaboration with colleagues of color.  Topics include:

  • Building relationships for necessary equity work

  • Understanding identity and socialization

  • Understanding whiteness and white supremacy culture

  • Protocols for detecting, analyzing and challenging inequities

  • Historical perspectives on school discipline policy

  • Historical perspectives on disability and able-ism
